H22 Injector question/problem
Is it possible for an injector to not work even if it's getting power and fuel? I checked the resistance on my #2 injector and checked for voltage, etc. on the injector and everything seems to be okay. I also checked the resistor and it also works. For some reason, I don't think the #2 injector is working because I recently finished my swap and I pulled out all my plugs to check them and 3 of them were coated black from running rich and the #2 plug was practically spotless. I also noticed that on my brand new header, the pipe that comes from the #2 cylinder is the only pipe that hasn't discolored from the heat. Am I running on only 3 cylinders or is there something else that I should check? I can't really tell from listening to it because I don't have an exhaust on and I am running straight header and downpipe. Timing is also correct too if it matters. I'm not getting any CEL's for injector signal either because there is power going to the injector. Could the injector itself have gotten clogged from the bad fuel that's been sitting in my car for a while or should I replace the injector? Also, is there any way to check if the injector is spraying? Thanks in advance...
Swap that injector and plug into another cylinder to see if the problem goes to the new cylinder. If you put injector 2 and plug two in cyl 4 does the problem move to cyl 4?
