Default Hybrid Supercharged K24-R dyno results

In the best traditions of squeezing the finest of Honda's parts bin into a Civic, we are pleased to bring you:

This was not an exercise in power, but one to extract maximum torque.

Specifications:

Accord 2.4 bottom end (9.5:1 compression)
RSX-S head
Japanese Integra Type R camchafts
RC 550 saturated injectors
RSX-S six speed gearbox
Jackson Racing race headers and test pipe
Short ram intake
5 Zigen catback
Stock fuel pump and stock fuel pressure

Driving Impressions

This would have to be the most fun Honda I have driven. Flexing your right foot instantly delivers weapons grade torque and leaves you grabbing for the next gear. Most freeway onramps will have you well into three digits before you have to merge. This engine does not need to be redlined for a fast getaway though. Huge amounts of torque mean that corners normally negotiated in second gear can be taken in 4th or fifth. You can change from first gear to sixth with no hesitation. For long interstate trips sixth gear would be all you need for 80-120 mph cruising.

Thanks to Hasport for supplying the car and engine and to Jackson Racing for supplying and fitting the supercharger. Hasport sell a stiffer rear motor mount for this car which is needed to reduce engine movement under acceleration.

isn't the k24 accord bottom end 9.7:1 compression, as per honda official website?

or does the type-s head have a larger bowl volume dropping the CR to 9.5:1?

I noticed that they used the stock fuel pump and pressure. , did they use a return line system with this also?

The compresion ratio was not measured as the heads were not CC'. 9.7:1 could be closer to the compression ratio. I was quoting from memory when I typed 9.5.

No return line was used. As a result the installation was very clean and easy.

Cost of the Accord block (a wrecked engine) was about $2000-2500.
Donor RSX-S engine and gearbox - unknown
Injectors about $360.
Supercharger - unknown as they are not for sale yet.
