Default AC Belt Removal

Searched.

Is it worth it to take the AC belt off and run a belt from just the crank to alternator? If so, how much gain is expected? Also, which belt should I run from alternator to crank? TIA

.heezy.

I've heard you could tell a difference, but I've never tried myself. Try it, and if you can't feel a difference, just put the belt back on

one day when replacing my belts i was thinking of just doing exactly what u said unhooking the ac. Here is the thing though, unless the ac in on, and you are making the compressor work, there is no drag. when i replaced my belts i tried spinning the ac compressor pulley. it spins very freely because when the ac is not on and the ac clutch isn't engaged then there is little to no drag. i mean i spun the pulley and it free wheeled many revolutions. IF you want true power gain while driving. don't turn the ac on

oh yeah and one other thing. if you still really want to do it, youll have to look inot this but ithink you could use the alternator belt from a prelude S because i think some didn't have ac
