OK, my 96 heat gauge goes to half way, is that normal or is it due ti the header?? Also, anyone with header I have a DC sports ceramic header and will it get hot enough to discolor the hood? Becasue my hood is discolored. I am hoping that the carbon fiber coweled hood will help? Any info helps THANKS

 

the temp of the header shouldn't affect the coolant guage
most Hondas stay less than half when operating properly
the heat from the header shouldn't discolor the hood

 

half way is normal operating temp for 92-96 lude. (cuz it's digital)

My 96 temp gauge goes to the halfway point all the time (after the care warms up). I have DC headers also and my hood is not discolored. The hood didn't even get discolored when my turbo was on and I believe it got a lot hotter than with the headers.

 

The heat guage being half way is normal
