Is there a difference between a type r flywheel and a gsr flywheel?
I know that the type r flywheel is a little lighter, how much lighter I do not know. If i swap out my gsr flywheel and put in a type r flywheel (buddy has one for me) is it worth it? will i feel a difference? I know that for the cost of install it probably isnt, but I have to open her up anyways, need a new clutch
thanks in advance.........

The ITR Flywheel is about 14 lbs and the GSR is about 17 lbs. Doesn't seem like a big diff but it really is. Check out a GSR and ITR flywheel side by side and you'll see why.
Actually, it is 5 lbs. difference. I weighed them. But then again, I weighed the ITR against a LS. The LS and GSR flywheels are different part numbers.
ITR=13lbs.
LS=18lbs.
GSR
robably 18 or 17lbs.

GSR flywheel is lighter than an LS, that i know for sure. 16-17lbs seems about right. I use an 11lb HKS flywheel however, and it revs like no other.
