Default Am I supposed to keep up with a camaro ss??

I just installed some 450cc injectors and filetofit's ciruit. I have I/E and an FPR with the previous and I was punching it to test out the setup I installed and a camaro was right next to me on the highway with the red chevy emblem in the lower right rear. Anyway I was at 30 or 40mph and floored it to test WOT and heard him floor it and I ran it all the way to 95mph and he was not even gaining.

I have a D16a6 motor that all my friends tell me is fast, but I didn't know it was this fast. Anyway, I turned at the light so I had to slow down, but he was probably at 100+ through the light so I know he wasn't messin around.

Is the N/A d16a6 with the above mentioned supposed to do that? Maybe I have a lot of carbon build up on the pistons creating high comp?

A turbo crx has a hard enough time busting into the 13's, let alone a N/A. It was likely a domestic ricer ( V6 with SS emblems ).

How'd you get your car to "live" with the 450cc ? I have an Apexi V-afc, and my car didn't wanna idle, let alone drove with the 450ccs.

N/A with 450cc ??? Why ? Turboing soon ?

I have the filetofit ciriut. It let's me adjust the MAP output so I can run them. Works like the afc, but without all the adjustability at RPM's. Going turbo soon. Got to see what I run at the track because it feels real quick right now N/A.
Going turbo is why I did this, but it feels like it helped out alot in acceleration and power. And it's easy to tune. Idles perfect and runs great.

What settings did you have with the 450cc injectors and the AFC? Are you familiar with the AFC hack?

The reason I put my DSMs in was B/C the A/F guage was reading the last red light on the guage LEAN, and I couldn't figure out why... turns out.... Somewhere along the lines my factory O2 sensor got grounded, so I ran a new wire, and that fixed it, so I took the DSMs back out ( I really didn't mess with them too much ). It did idle, just not like perfect or anything, I didn't mess with the FP or timing, I only had them in to see if my gauge was broke or what.

I know how to tune cars, ever tune a 550Hp Twin Turbo car ? I have.
My honda =s 14s ( and I put 9 bottles though a 155K mile D15b2 )
My stealth = low 11's. Spining all four.

it's a 93-97 v6, some of those years had the chevy emblem on the rear.

Yup. How do you know it's an SS? It could have been a Z28... the earlier ones (93-95 or so) ran low 14's only.

I don't know much about camaros or domestics in general. But aren't the Z28's supposed to be quick to? It probably was a Z28 or a V6 (excuse the ignorance), but it did have a Red chevy emblem on the back and had dual pipes coming out (whatever that means).

Probably not an SS, but I did lose against an SS on the highway before I got the injectors. He was probably playing with me, but we went 60 to 115 and I was like a bus length back. All on an empty highway... like it even matters because I should keep it on a track if I even get there.
