Default Custom exhaust done.

After installing the 2.5 SS mandrell bent with a resonator and a canister withouth a cat i realized that it was a bit to raspy and loud. THEN my downpipe disconnected from the collector as i was leaving from work (now THAT was loud) finally finished it today, rubber mounted, stock cat and custom flange.
here we go...
Compontents

My pops at work

MIG welding

Original testpipe routing (was LOUD)

complete exhaust with the original cat

Another angle

made the flange from some nice schedule 316 SS

Rear section, the black parts are from running it a few days with a clamp, i LEAKED.

Hangers

Connecting the damn downpipe

Routing (HEY, were is my ST sways?! )

complete, missing is the diffuser plate

That it, thanks again mike (mkteller), it sounds REALLY good, deep and without any raspiness

nice, but THat doesn't look like MIg welding to me. That looks like a TIG torch in his hand and filler rod in the other hand

Did you cut off the lower black part of your rear bumper?

why would you put a catalytic converter back on your car? you spent all that time making the exhaust only to choke it up with a cat?

Nice work by your Dad, but I'm not really a big fan of the muffler coming out that side and being so far away from the bumper.

You must have cut the bottom portion of your bumper off to reduce the drag it creates? exhaust looks ok I guess but it looks way out of place to me

indeed it is a TIG, was a mispell. with a filler rod. yes i cut the bottom of the bumber off, i also have a diffuser plate that i need to put back, will have to figure about the new muffler.
the jackstands were off to give access to weld, we took the risk on that one. the exhaust is not for everyone but i like the look, and the ebay special, it will be replaced by a supertrapp.
the cat was put back because it is needed, and because i had lost a considerable amount of torque (although gained some top end horsepower). and it was LOUD, i mean LOUD setting off the alarms half a block away, with my driving record i DO not want to attract any more police attention. i LOVE the way this sounds now, and i got my torque back, and now, if going thru gears fast i can chrip tyres in third, something a 190K motor usually cannot do, thanks again for comments.
