Fixed ZC wiring, now car revs to 4000rpms at idle and stays, what is the issue?
I found out I never extended my green plug to go to the EACV so I did and that fixed my surging idle. However now it revs smoothly to 4000RPMs and just sticks. It throws a code 9 (PM6 ecu). What is the problem, you think the idle screw is messed up making it rev that high. I haven't driven it anywhere since fixing the wires so I don't know how it drives but I was just looking for some help as people are tired of giving me ride and letting me borrow their cars.
It was a DX, but I got a Si throttle cable (minus the bracket) from the junkyard, its sort of ghettoed on, you think that is pulling on it a bit? I ordered an new OEM bracket so until then my car is slightly f'ed.
Check to make sure the cable is tight against the fire wall. There should be a plastic boot that holds it in place. Once you get it running do a visual inspection of the TB. Make sure it is not getting stuck open. Let me know.
If it is not stuck try to check your vacuum lines. One of them may be causing the TB to open up farther than it should at idle.
Hmmm, I have 2 vacuum hoses coming from where the MAP Sensor and that stuff on the fire wall is. I wonder if I have them switched, cuz one isn't even plugged in, the other is, perhaps I should switch them and see how that works.
