i think that the mods are doing a good job turning this board from **** back to a hit! i know this is non tech but keep it here for a day or 2 and then get rid of it!

yea yea, maybe they're doin a good job or jus their job, but all those who back them, moderators, up is because maybe you guys know them, as friends or partner, whatever the reason, i think what the moderators are doin is jus making things worse. instead of deleting or locking what i or others post why not keep it open so others can say what they have on their mind and not finding out they cant post. when they cant post a new thread is opened like i have been doin, which makes things worse. my $0.02

 

Can we just drop all of this nonsense. 4DR-GSR is doing a good job of cleaning up this area I hold no grudges and I think that the longer we argue the quicker this board is going to fall apart. If that happens we all may as well go back to Superhonda.org

 

::highfive:: slowerthanu i agree.........hey look weather or not we know 4drgsr is besides the point. he as well as i and most others on this forum want to make it the way it used to be when there were 2 boards - dot net and honda-tech honda tech branched off of H-A.net and was more about looks and spoilers and about 2444398483 posts on hydrolocking scares.....honda-tech was put together b\c we the people wanted a more technical board to go to. so if u guys dont like it peace! IM me for more names of forums if u want to look for a new place to post!

Every board has its own flavor, even if its about the same car company; it's kind of like different cultures somewhat; Nothing wrong with any of the other boards, that's not the point.

The point is that Honda-tech had been slipping from its original 'mission', and its about time the moderators start to provide some structure to make the board what it used to be. Anyone is still free to vent in the members corner. there's a thread about this topic there right now, and unless it gets way out of hand, I don't think they will lock it.

I don't personally know any of the moderators, but as it's been mentioned somewhere else (I think by Teken), they chose people who have interests, goals and objectives similar to what the board originators had.

 

Hey Y2kGSR- your nose is looking a little brown there... Yeah they are doing a good job, but brown nosers get very little respect from em as well as many other people...

 

There were other reasons the board was created, but this is Honda-Tech, not The Young & The Restless, so we wont get into that ...

I dont know what to tell you all. This board is about enthusiasts coming and enjoying the company and knowledge of others who share the same interests.

If something is a ridiculous post, such as "Who likes Beer?" or "Which Pedals are cooler?" then yes, it doesnt belong here. But I really think we should all pay attention to the fact that although someone may post something WE may think is stupid like "17's or 18's?" there are 3x as many people who are interested in the answer. And there are technical answers to be given to that non technical question. If we get rid of those questions, we're basically telling those people "we dont want you here because we dont like or approve of your interests..." which is kinda lame. If thats the image that the majority of the board members want to put out, then sure, go for it.

I dont know about the "knowing each other" thing...I mean, Ive met 4-Dr before and I dont really agree with his gung ho deleting and all, but like I said, if thats what the majority of the members want to do, its your board. I understand what the man is saying, and I kind of agree. I see what hes trying to get at, I just dont think deleting mass posts and locking threads and all these constant reminders about this BS is really doing any good.

I for one, just plan on sitting back and enjoying Honda-Tech the way I always have. I dont understand why so many people have such a hard time doing that.

 

I would like to give Teken a round of applause. Every post I have seen, including my own, where he has become involved in the conversation about this whole change he hasnt lost his cool. He doesnt start talking ****, or getting into a pissing contest, he sees both sides and gives a calm explanation. Great modding!! Thats the way it should be. Not to be a dick 4dr, but i think you need to calm down a little bit it your responses. Dont look at every one of em as a conflict, people are just stating their opinions, and I know its your guys' board but you gotta agree when I say its actaully everybodies board. Without everybody there would be no board, so you should try to hear people out a little bit, you dont have to necessarly agree with em, but you dont need to act like they just took a **** in your livingroom either. Sorry if you feel differently, just how I see things.

 

i agree..Teken's awesome. We REALLY should stop all the whining and move on..this board is not so happy lately..

and yes i think the board is better.
