ceremic is cheaper, basically is the design that count not the material i guess.
i use a ceremic header in my NA setup before. it hold up fine.

the stainless header will be less likely to crack if you scrape it on the ground. The flow characteristics are more dependent on shape not material

I know with dc sports their ceramic header has a two year warranty and the stainless has no warranty at all. Like say if it rust by the upper flange like mine did they will either recoat the header or send you a new one.

i dont really think the gain differences are very significant between ceramic and ss. ive read that ceramic retains heat better, but more prone to getting cracked. i have a dc cermic coated header and i bottomed once and put a huge scrape on the down pipe but it didnt crack.

Has anybody ever attempted to weld a ceramic header, because i just got mine and am about to throw it in, I'm just curious if I do crack it if I can just get it welded?

i have a greddy ss on my accord and dc cc on my civic. both have sustained some nice scratches from driveways, but neither have cracked. i'm dissapointed in the amount of discoloration in the ss header, even after i cleaned it b4 installation. i got a cc header thinkng it might be easier to keep clean. it aint. to clean the ss header, i used metal polish and steel wool. with some degreaser, some of the ceramic coating is peeling off already

The ceramic can be welded to. The guy who put on my high flow cat cut off my flange on my header and welded the high flow directly to it.

you have to get to bare metal before you can weld. You cannot just weld right onto the ceramic coating.
