blew up my b18c5 help me diagnose please
i was driving my 91 si w/ b18c5 preety hard then there was bang , white smoke pouring out of the exhaust and a rolling sound underneath the hood . I was thinking maybee a head gasket but i had no cooling problems and it is fairly new. The head was equipped w/ skunk stage 2's and springs & retainers . Timing belt is intact. The car will not crank .

Is that possible to do if the car wont crank?

if the car wont crank you have destroied somthing internally and a compression test isnt needed.
by crank i am talking about turning? not START just rotate.

Until you find out for sure that you didn't break any internals, I'd recommend you not to crank the engine at all. There's a little scope with a long neck that you can use to look inside your cylinders with the head on. It's small enough for you to poke through your spark plug holes. It's the same **** that the military and cops use to look behind doors and walls when they're unsure of what's on the other side. I bought mine from Matco Tools and it comes in handy quite often.
pull the head off,SAVE THE HEAD AT ALL COSTS, then take out the broken pistons/rods, make sure the cyl walls are okk, if they are fucked then you can resleve or get a new block, but if they are ok, then just get a new crank, rods, and pistons. hopefully your block isnt fucked. if it is, :\ get b20 block and wish for the best

The ls/vtec was blown up by missing a shift and overreving , The r block im not sure yet . I dropped the pan and pulled the head today i managed to destroy a piston , bend a rod and broke 2 valves. The r block is fucked and needs to be sleeved. My friend who works in a machine shop said the head is salvageable. I just picked up a gsr shortblock and ordered some ctr pistons 4 it . I have to order some gaskets and bearings tomorrow. I will be up and running again by next weekend.
What i think happened was i had piston to valve contact , the piston exploded it got in the way of the crank and the rod and the rod bent. After the rod bent the wrist pin wiped out the cylinder wall . The end R.I.P. B18C5 shortblock that i paid 400. $ for 6 months ago.
