You see back in 1997 and 1998 (the first two years of production for the USDM Integra Type R, all of the cars were Championship White; this is a fairly well known fact. In 1999 there were no ITR's imported into the United States. Then along came the year 2000 and 2001 models, both offered in Phoenix Yellow ONLY. In the summer of 1999, it was fashionable in Japan to have a black Integra Type R. The phase took awile to sweep across to the Western world where the United States happens to be. Roughly a year later, end of the 2000 production year, and beginning of the 2001 production year, everyone wanted a black Integra Type R here in the United States, this was the beginning of what we now know as "JDM Bling."
So we had all of these White and Yellow ITR's running around, but no black ones. Unfortunitely those who bought the white and yellow Type R's loved their cars so much that they refused to paint them. People started buying the lower model Integras in black or finding used ones and then painting them black. There was some discrepency as to which color black was on the JDM cars, so there may be two or possibly even three different colors for the "black Type R's." Many people even went as far as to get the wheel conversion and even have the sunroofs REMOVED! Most did not bother with the engine swap however, and just bought a red valve cover or painted their original one.
Again, this also explains the incredible rise in Type R theft and Integra theft in general. This is still happening today at an incredible rate.... some people want the Japanese fronts, while others want the black Type R's. It's all part of this JDM fad that has been going around; it's like a disease.
Those of you who think you saw a black ITR ever in your life were wrong unless it was a picture or it was right hand drive. So now you can go tell all of your friends that any black Type R that you see is fake, it's a fact of life. Even if it looks real, down to the smallest detail, it is not. These guys are good, but remember that anyone stupid enough to do all of that to a Honda is probably mentally deficient and will go to any lengths, regardless of consequences to harm you if you even look at the car for very long or in the wrong way. Watch out, cause these fools are unstoppable lunatics, I **** you not.
This is the real, complete story behind the myth of the Black USDM Integra Type R.

You're just dumb. Leave the "There are no black ITRs" to rest. It's just like the JDM faze, played out.
...And I thought I was king of the misinformation.

You still are, but that's because you spread misinformation. Mainly because you don't know any better though, that's the difference.
