my car got broken into last night- i never realized how well a tinted window stayed together. the cops weren't able to obtain any prints which sucks. i hope insurance covers the 100 or cd's that got taken, when i called they weren't sure & said that i'd have to wait for the claims adjuster.

Up here insurance NEVER covers CD's.

 

insurance will only cover up to a certain amount of money in cd's mine covered 150 $ and then they told me to claim the rest under my home owners policy

well at least it was only your cd's..you coudl still roll without your cd's..just recently my wheels got stolen and my sub..so i can't roll or bump my music

 

very true- & stupid me left the key to the wheel locks in the car; but I guess I had it under enough stuff that they didn't notice- never again.

The sad thing is all you need to do to break in an EF is push a licence plate down the window opening and the door unlocks. Some guy was demonstrating how easy it was at the Niagra meet last year. It pushes down on the rod that goes to the key lock. When I got home I disconnected the keylock, because I have power door locks installed. Then I slapped in some rear door handles out of a 4g 4door. Doesn't help any for the brick though window technique though. That is what the alarm with back up battery siren is for. Then the bedside 12ga comes into play. I hate theives.

 

i got my cd's jacked.. insurance didnt do crap, they sed i needed photo and receipt proof i actually owned them

**** them.

 

as far as CDs go, thats homeowners insurance.

 

i have an alarm, but it doesn't go off when the window breaks apparently; i know that it goes off when the door opens- but the door was still locked when i found it. it's a bummer for sure, but at least the car is still here. thanks ya'll.

 

man that sucks. i feel your pain. i got ripped off about a month ago. vtec controller, i wheel, console, cd player, sunglasses, and the list goes on and on. the sorry part is they used my tools that where in the trunk to take all my stuff. fn theives
