i've been currently searching for a crx for the past couple of months to build for this summer but this weekend suddenly came with 2 surprising offers: 90 crx dx vs 90 hatch si. i need your advice to choose one or the other.

both cars have blown motors. the crx is selling for 650 and the hatch for 750. both of their interiors are perfect and the exterior has very small rust (no holes) on the rear wheel fenders. i've seen them in person and they look to be in good condition. crx is white while the hatch is black.

i plan on doing b16a swap and i know that dx requires changing the wiring. do any know the total swap cost for a dpfi to mpfi. i'm guessing the hatch doesn't b/c its an si?

so my real concern is which weighs less? and which do u think looks better with a wings west body kit?

 

CRX with the B16. You'll have to do the MPFI swap as you know.... Its not that hard to do. Good luck

 

The Crx Dx would weigh less and would require custom motor mounts for the b16 to fit. Changing the DX motor from dpfi to mpfi, somewhere in the area of 150-300 I'm not sure of the items you would need though. As for the body kit, not to be offensive to anyone, but I think body kits on a crx are just horrible.

Are you planing on changing to mpfi on the crx just for the b16 swap?
