Default legal exhaust systems

just a little quick question. i live in cali, i have an ep3 and i just wanted to know wut kind of street legal exhaust systems give good performance and sound ?

well techniclly speaking... there are legal exhuast systems under 95dba, but the cops don't even know the diffrence between 95 dba or they just don't care because hey they got a quota to fill...

It all depends on the state which you live in.One way to **** a cop off is to ask him for his decible reader and see what he says.

if you lived here in germany anything outta the country is illegal everything tuning illegal there are 5 or 6 tests which are required to be passed so they are legal so im fajiled

If you get a ticket, all you have to do is take it to court and show paper work stating that the exhaust is legal. It should be dismissed.

Yes, but make sure you do it at court! If you show the paperwork to the cop, he will more than likely find something else wrong with your car, or even worse, your driving!

On a side note-I've been pulled over once for too loud an exhaust, and it was in my Integra. This was with stock ITR piping and a RS*R muffler (very quiet). Since then, I've put 2.5" piping w/o resonators, and a loud HKS muffler, but have yet to be pulled over. If a cop wants/needs to pull someone over, it's not going to make a whole lot of difference what exhaust you have on your car.
