I was told it's best to left the car off the ground so you wouldn't get flat spot on your tires, compress your shocks for extended periods, etc. Well, my main concern is the suspension. The wheels i am not concened about cause I have the stockers with bold tires on them for the storage but what about the suspension? Will it harm my suspension if i let it sit for 5 to 6 months??
Although to buy some stands to put the car on probably wouldn't cost that much or be that much trouble. I think it is whatever you feel like doing.
Not too good to leave it elevated on jack stand, possibility of warping the frame.
I'd rather put a set of crap tires on then store it.
