Valve Cover Gasket Fix
My car won't start after its warmed. It sounded like it was flooded, but it throttle-boddied. I check the plugs, and theres oil in them. #1 cylinder has some, #4 cylinder is a fountain. I found out that the valve cover gasket needs to be replaced. Is this a hard thing to do? I'm not all that knowledgable with Honda engines yet. It's an '88 CRX DX with a D15 motor. Any help will be helpful.
It's easy, it should be nothing more than a 10mm socket to get it out. The only tricky thing about it, when you loosen all the bolts, it might not come out, it's just glued to the head & valve cover, just use a screwdriver to pry it out only when you taken out all the bolts. Oh yea, use HondaBond for a very secure fit.
Also, is it all over the spark plug or just the electrode part? It might not be your gasket if it's on the electrode part.

The oil is in the wire and on the plug if thats what you mean. If not, please explian.
Alos, how much should I torque the valve cover bolts. Thanks.
