Default Wiring questions for a Multi Point EFI conversion on a 1.6L 90 Civic DX hatchback

I'm converting my 90 honda Civic DX hatchback to Multi point EFI. I already have a 1.6 L EX engine in it and now I'm putting on the new manifold. I am wondering why I can't just use the EX harness and strait plug it all in. I have print outs of wiring diagrams on how to covert my DX harness to the multi point wiring (4 new wires) so i know what I'm doing, but I just don't understand why it isn't just a strait plug in application. let me know why I can't do this, Please.
Thanks, Davey

becuase the wire harnesses are much different and wires simply do not match.

just do it like everyone else, rewire your DX harness to MPFI specs, its simple and easy
