Accord/Prelude Compatibility
Few minor questions. I know that some Prelude parts will fit in an Accord. Would an H22A intake manifold fit on my F23? I've seen Skunk2 advertise these new SOHC intake manifolds, but haven't seen one for my car. Now, if it were to fit, would it be better to use the stock manifold from a Prelude, then port, and polish it, or buy an aftermarket one from Skunk2, for example, and then port, and polish it? Also, would it be better to get a stock throttle body from a Prelude, or get one for the Accord from Holley, for example? I only know of Gude, and Holley that make throttle bodies for my car. Thanks.
Well from what i know, there like bother and sister cars. But most of it all parts are not intechangable. I know the stype s lude came with a f22, like the accord motors. The sus parts will interchange, but other then that, i dunno.
The intake manifold should be one of the last things you worry about until the engine is well built. If anything, swap yours out for a a4 or a6 dual stage. I am not positive that an h22 manifold will fit an f23/22 but i don't think so. The throttle bodies are the same between engines.
And there is a difference between a "type S" and the Prelude S.
The Prelude S was the base model in the U.S. and it came with an F22
The Type S is a JDM only vehicle (maybe UK too but don't think so) that came with an H22 with higher c/r, different cams and intake manifold.
