... 89 crx dx... plugged in my radar detector... then when i shut off the car... the radar detector stayed on... anyone know how i can change the cigarette lighter from 'always on' to 'switched acc'?... i am guessing that it is somewhere in the fuse box, but i am not sure... anyways, if anyone can help out, i'd appreciate it... lemme know... thanks in advance...

 

Well you need to change the power lead to the lighter. So take a volt meter and find a power source that is only hot when the key is on. The run a power line from that source to the lighter. Of course make sure that you dont overload the circuit.
