engine or suspension your opinion ?
I vote for suspension.... the car is quick. Grab any intake and those cars gaind like 10hp, get a cai and you can get 20. then save some money and get a real nice suspension like tien or jis magic. thats my vote! good luck!
I say suspension first but you should do what you like. My side of the coin says suspension because:
It's safer.
Offers better overall feel... providing you have a good set-up that suits you.
It makes your car look MUCH better by just dropping it and destroying that evil wheel gap.
Get used to how your car feel stock first - especially when it comes to pushing on the gas. The pleasure in modding a car is recognizing how it improves with each step. With the engine, results will vary depending on bolt-on mods & how you drive. With suspension, results are definite almost all the time.
For some it might not seem like modding a suspension can be as enjoying as modding an engine, and I can see where they come from. Everyone's different. I just happen to be one of the people who enjoys taking turns faster over straight-line speed.
If you do suspension first, good for you. But if you just have to get an engine mod, get an intake.
The car will sound sweet, go a lil' faster & look good while handling better simultaneously.
I've said enough.

just test drove an s again today i love that car. Im pretty sure my first move will be suspension it handles pretty good stock, but i would like to stick closer to the ground, thanks for the input
I am going for the basics first. I just bought my type-s in Apr. So far I just bought a mugen oil cap. I am going to do the exhaust, header and intake first. I hope to drop it by next year. I am also getting a mugen front strut bar soon. Good luck.

yea..but w/ Hondata its better to have at least an intake (i think its require to have an intake if you choose the 5200rpm engagement)
In terms of either engine or suspension..I'd do a lil of both..
First off I'd get myself an intake...stock suspension honestly isnt too bad, much better than many cars out there...but if you wanna fix the suspension..save up for a set of Tein coilovers/damper sets..SS will run you about 1200$, Flex will run you around 1500$ If your on a budget and dont mind riding like a 4x4 for a lil bit, get some sways and some struts for the rear (JDM ITR ones are pretty cheap in comparision to Progress,Comptech, etc)
If you wanna go engine, like I said, pick yourself up an intake(160$), then like ep3minivan said, Hondata($600) and you'll be seeing mid 14's w/ those two...if you have even more money to burn then go invest in a Jackson Racing racing header(650$) or the racing header from Comptech(950$)
With all those in the above, you'll be set for awhile..all you'll need is some rims and definelty better tires than the stockies..

Ok bro the first thing you should do is dump those stock michellen tires which are crap( trust me you will find this out very soon). Get a sticker tire like the falken azenis and you will be set.
Next get an intake, weather it be a CAI, or a SRI this mod has proven to give the best gains for the money ( next to hondata).
As for suspension wise I would recommend you stay with your stock suspension and learn how your car feels and acts. Then go from there and see what you have to improve on. Good luck bro.
