Suspension setup for under $400 - ASAP!
Hi, I'm a newbie when it comes to suspensions. I have a 96' Integra GS-R Turbo, but right now I'm very low on money and I need to get a suspension setup (shocks and springs). I want to drop my car about 1.5" and I want the shocks to be kinda stiffbut not stiff enough, because it's a daily driver. So probably adjustable shocks would be better. I want decent quality but I can't pay much so something for under $400 altogether would be great! Please provide links to shops/stores where I can get a decent setup! Thanks in advance!

definately get some shocks it will actually make your ride smoother compared to riding on stocks...
my setup kyb agx's and tein s-techs
i also dont reccommend to go w/coilovers since they tend to be more bouncy and it sounds you wanted a more comfortable ride.

Thanks for all the replies peeps! I guess I'm settles on the shocks - KYB AGXs. Where can I pick those up CHEAP? hehe.. Are they all the same or do they have different versions/models for Integras? I'm still deciding on the springs, any other suggestions?

how does the combo of KYB AGX's and Eibach Pro-Kit sounds?
What has to be adjusted when I put it in? Is it better to first get the tires that I want and then put in the suspension and do the adjustment?
Why would you need a camber kit?

Its not worth skimping on suspension! If your shocks are blown then get yourself a good set of shocks first. If you are looking for a smooth ride pick up a set of Tokico or KYB ($60 to $85 each), but if you are looking for a stiffer better handling ride then Bilstien or koni ($85 to $135 each) is the way to go. Then save up for the springs for a later date. Don't buy cheep crap just because you can't afford everything at once if you do you will just be kicking yourself later.
Thanks to everyone for their help!
I just ordered KYB AGXs for $300 shipped and Eibach Pro-Kit for $195 shipped . I guess I had to go over my budget, but hopefully I got good, quality products, that I will not regret of buying later.
Last thing I need is to properly install them! Anyone in Illinois area up for help?
A few questions, since I'll installing the BFG gForce Drag Radials at the same time too.
So, should I put in the suspension, then drive for 500 miles with old tires, then put the new ones on and do the alignment? Or, should I install the new drags right after my suspension install?
Also, I hit my front tire on a curb in the winter and now my steering wheel is a little off to the right - does that involve the same kind of alignment that is done for the suspension or is it a different thing?
Thanks again!
