Default Estimated 1/4 mile time

I'm going to the track this weeked, weather permiting, and I was wondering, on an average, where my 1/4 time should be. I have a B17A1 in a 1990 STD hatch. The car is gutted except for the front seats and dash. I have a chiped P28 ECU and an CAI and exhaust.

I think on street tires your looking at between a 14.5 and 15.0 but its hard to say because none of us know how strong your motor is and how many miles it has on it. On the other hand the b17a is a very strong performer IMO.

It depends a lot on driver, engine condition, and traction. If you don't have good tires, how much power you have won't matter b/c you won't be able to put it to the ground. You'll be burning the tires through 3rd gear. My buddy with a b16 w/ j1 in a 91 Civic Si ran a best 15.6. And he IS a good driver. Grant it, he is 320 lbs, full interior with another 50 lbs of crap in the back and he still couldn't keep the wheels on the ground. That car should run a mid 14 with a good, lighter driver and good tires. I'd say you'll run anywhere from 14.5-15.5.
