Default overheating problem

I just installed an AEM intake yesterday and everything was fine. Now today I was driving around and the temp gauge started climbing up and down. Does anyone know if that has anything to do with the intake installation? I haven't removed the resonator box inside the bumper yet, since I'm having a hard time getting to the top bolt. However, would that have anything to do with it? The temp climbs when the car is sitting at idle, but then it goes back down as I drive or if I just sit there and hold the revs at 1500 rpms. If anyone knows anything please let me know. Thanks.

the intake has nothing to do with the overheating. make sure that your fan still works on the radiator. if not it might be your radiator itself. if you haven't replaced it before, it is possible it might be dead. might even be your thermostat.

your thermostat is gone!!! either that or you need radiator fluid but i doubt it. it is just a 25 dollar part so it isn't any big bucks, it probably isn't even that much.

Thanks for the advice. After I posted the topic yesterday I checked the coolant and the fan and they were fine. So I think you guys are probably right about it being the thermostat. Thanks again for the help.
