okay yesterday i took the motor apart and everything seems in good condition
I was really impressed with the way the motors' internals looked. I'm waiting for the rod bearings and the water pump to arrive, i think tuesday and then putting my baby back together...
I got a lot of pics, but i lost the cable that connects to the desktop(from the digi.) so as soon as i buy one i'll post them up

It's been a bitch getting all the parts since the people at the auto store can't register the idea of me needing all this different parts for one motor...
A small family based company wouldn't even sell'm to me since it wasn't a
us motor

 

what motor were the bearings originally intended for? teg? i have a zc en route, so I will probably need some as well. TIA

 

89 teg. they were like 40$. thanks for the info before on the torque #s, i really needed those.

Yeah it was this old lady(65?...) and I asked her for the spark plug wires/main/rod bearings for a 89 teg. 1.6l, timing belt for a 88 Prelude 2.0l, spark plugs/oil filter for a 91 crx 1.6l and a couple of more stuff...

Then she asks how many cars I have, so I said just two, but all the parts are for one car only... And she just looks at me(LMAO), like I'm a dumbass and I try really hard to explain, that my engine never came to the states, I got it from Japan and I'm putting it together...
So she's still staring at me and then she says that her insurance will not cover for a non-domestic engine so she wasn't gonna sell me the parts...LMAO

hehe, i have a great story about this same ****. when i first did my ZC install in my 91 hatch i went to a local junkyard to pick up some teg hubs. The guy at the counter asked me what i wanted and i told him, then he asked what car it was for and i told him, then he started arguing with me and telling me there is no way they'll fit. So i'm trying to stay calm and explain it to him ( because i have a REALLY bad temper) and he won't shut his friggin yap. He keeps on tellin me i can't bring them back cause they won't fit, it's impossible, there only made for integra's, yadda yadda yadda. Then i just f@#$in loose it, i tell him to shut the hell up, be a good little fetcher boy and get me my god damn parts. He wasn't happy with me....hehe. Then i tell him i'll bet him 500 cash, and i'll drive it up there in a couple of days to rub it in his face. And of course being the complete ******* i am, i went up a few days later and did it, he still made up some bullshit that i really didn't take in, got back in my car, and screamed out of the parking lot. Know i know alot of you are gonna call bullshit on this, but i really am this much of an ******* and i have some real anger management issues. My friends goof on me all the time about it. Picture the movie Happy Gilmore when he's about to do the putter throw and everyone ducks, that's how alot of my engine swaps go... and i lose alot of wrenches that way...hmmmmm... maybe i should work on that.

I know exactly how it is. Im the kind of guy that if someone is in the movie theatre and their cell phone rings, i'd grab it n throw that **** across the room. See, with me, if they act stupid, i'll treat them like theyre stupid, if they act like little kids ill treat them like one...kinda like a taste of their own medicine type of thing
