Default Code 43: fuel supply: Could this be causing my motor to blow white smoke

Well when it rains my car sometimes throws a code 43....fuel supply (ive only noticed it in the rain...so i thought that some wires got wet....well it stayed on long enuf for me to check it)

well lately my car blows white smoke sometimes at idle soemtimes at start up....you can read the post here

https://honda-tech.com/zero...&id=6

well someone said it might blow smoke if i have a failing fuel pump. could this be it if my fuel pump was bad ? would it make it blow white smoke

i allways thought the car was running lean since i put the motor in

could i be running extreamly lean that it blows white smoke?

thanks lmk

I was under the impression that code 43 was an 02 sensor code... I threw this code not too long ago and sure enough when I changed the primary 02 the code went away and everything is fine... Also my a/f gauge quit working when this happened...

white smoke=burning coolant.....sounds like a head gasket to me......

yeah well see i dont have oil in coolent, or coolent in oil..........and i dont loose any coolent so thats why i didnt think it was headgasket.......and i dont notice a whole lot of performace loss

plus its a new headgasket...maybe i put it in ever so slightly wrong?

oh and code 43 i thought was just fuel system....which is 02 sensor, fpr, etc.....but usually like 95% its just the o2
