I have heard almost nothing but bad things about having a JRSC on an ITR. Try doing a search to see if you can find anything on the topic. I have a post from one guy concerning FI on Type-R's here:
http://www.laures.com/typer/thelibrary/typerandfi.htm

I would suggest talking to other ITR owners who have had or do have the JRSC kit and ask them how they like it. I know of one or two guys with one on their ITR if you want their e-mails (just e-mail me and I will give them to you).

I had a friend who installed a JRSC for his GSR. I know, I know...totally different cars. But I just wanted to warn you that the amount of torque the car made at low RPMs was ridiculous. He kept on spinning his tires and traction was a biootch.

As far as supercharging an ITR, I've talked to a couple guys at the NOPI show...summary of what they all said: Don't buy it!

If you get it make sure you get the MAP controller as well. In fact don't even bother installing the kit without it. The basic JR kit is just incomplete, if you install you'll get detonation and not very much power. These problems can only be solved with either more parts and lots of tuning or buying the MAP converter. The "fuel enrichment relay" that JR uses seems to be the source of all the problems. The MAP converter is a more intelligent replacement for the relay. It still uses the IAT signal as well as the MAP signal, but you relocate the MAP sensor to the intake manifold to read boost and let the MAP converter lie to the ECU.

I put mine on this weekend and it really solved most of the problems I was having. It COMPLETELY got rid of tiup in detonation. I drove it for an hour, got it real hot (it was 95 degrees out) then did a 4th gear pull from 2000rpm all the way to about 7000rpm with two passengers in the car and timing set to 14BTC, not one ping. I did everything I could do to try and induce detonation and couldn't do it.

When I did the install I zero'd out all my VAFC settings first. With the MAP controller and an untuned VAFC, the car is at least as fast as it was with VAFC tuning, and runs much better. It idles at a reasonable 730 rpm steady with no surges that are common with SC'd ITR's. The engine now runs as smooth as stock.

Performance wise, I gained about 1.3 seconds in the 1/4 mile from the kit. That was before I installed the MAP converter. I hope to get back on the dyno soon for some fine tuning, my best run so far was 203whp, and I'm sure I can get more with a little bit of tuning.

JR is supposed to bring out their ITR to the Expo so we'll see how well it performs over two full days out on the track

it seems like no one likes the idea of me getting a S/C so i guess i wont do it, i'll keep going in the NA direction...ILOVERACING thanx for all the info im gonna give it to my friend who bought the JRSC for his ITR to read.... By the way i picked up my car from acura today ( well let me tell you all the story) .
It all started b/c i let my friend drive my car and he has driving it hard and the idiot downshifted into the wrong gear( who the hell does that) and bent some valves in my motor, so warranty covered it , so i picked up my car from acura today and the gears barely go in, i think the clutch is completely burned , also my motor does not feel right , and there is all kinds of weird noises coming from underneath the car, they also made a mess in my engine bay, there is coolant stains all over the bay i am sooooo mad, my dad is gonna suit them, i made an appointment at a local shop to install a clutch masters clutch , hopefully that is all that is wrong with the car..i hope. as for the sounds coming from underneath i'll have to wait till i get home and take a look and clean my whole engine...
