Default suspension noise again!! wtf

Ok, so i took the rear struts out and put the O-rings between the shock and coilover. Everything is snug and all the bolts are tight. But when i still ride over bumps i hear a little clank sound on both sides. No clue at all what it is. The only thing i can think of is that either the bumpstops are too long, even though i cut them in half, or the peice that is right under where it connects to the top is hitting it, but i dont know why. Or maybe it just does it cause its low. Any help?

Goto Autozone, get a can of white lithium grease. Then spray the top 3 coils of your spring with it.

Problem solved.

try raising the car up a bit and see if the noise goes away. when i was down about 2" my rear passenger side would clunk. i thought it was the exhaust, tried to fix it, but it still clunked. raised it back to a 1" drop and it doesn't clunk anymore. i might try that grease idea...i would like to be lower than 1"

the clunk you here are the coils hitting/rubbing against eachother when they are compressed(or when you hit a bump). spraying grease helps quiet them down.

grease worked a little. I didnt soak it but i sprayed it on lightly. I might try adding some more. Im gonna raise it about half an inch to see if it stops and if it doesnt ill just live with it. I might tie the spring down to the coil perch to see if that helps any. Thanks for the help guys.

If that's the case, then maybe you should try some fish tank hose or fuel hose. Cut it to a short length, split it down the middle, and glue it to the upper coils.
