Quiz Time! How many tires can you fit...
...inside the ITR?
Rules:
Stock size tires, including wheels.
You can't remove any seats.
The four tires on the outside of the car don't count. And no other tires on the outside - on the roof or sticking out windows. The hatch, doors, and windows must all close.
The driver still has to be able to drive the car.
Those on the chip list where I previously posted the answer can't vote.
Tomorrow I'll post the answer I was able to fit, including where they were positioned.

I'm gonna say 13, including the spare....I think that is the max....I would have to imagine that since "I" have a rear strut bar, for "storage space" purposes it's not there to fit extra tires....hehehehe
NONE!! I wouldn't put diry wheels/tires in my r... I'd have someone follow me in my Accord which will fit 4 wheels/tires in the trunk. Plus whatever firts in the back seat. The R is for passangers ONLY.

I've had 4 mounted wheels (w/tires) and 4 new tires in the back of the R with only the rear seats down.
Pretty neat considering I've also got a rear upper strut tower bar, and you don't have to leave the car to get tire/wheel work done!
Will also be doing it again this weekend to have a fresh set of 032Rs mounted.

I would say 10 wheels with tires. I throw my 4 race wheels in there...bigass box of gear, tools, jack, cooler with food, etc. Someone saw me pulling stuff out of my car and they said it looked like a bottomless pit!
Also...Gina, could you change your avatar...i can't ever focus on what I'm reading when you post on a thread! Just kidding...please keep it, pretty please.

R1020,
Well, you are partially right... I could only fit 7 in the trunk area....but you still have front seat and floorspace to put a few more rims/tires
Cheese

well, ken happens to have a '3-wheel' set of ITR rims . . . not by choice. UPS sucks!

NONE!! I wouldn't put dirty wheels/tires in my r...
The guessing action has calmed down, so here's the answer. I count 14. This is the order in which they can be loaded and where they go.
First, fold down the rear seat and remove the little hatch cover that crosses the hatch opening.
1 where the spare tire normally is (you don't need a spare when you're bringing a bunch of wheels and tires with you, right?)
1 horizontally in the rear corner of the hatch
1 horizontally at a slight angle in the other rear corner of the hatch, leaning on the previous one
4 vertically side-by-side directly in front of the two in the rear of the hatch (parallel to the four on the outside of the car)
2 more vertically directly behind the passenger seat, side-by-side (parallel to the seat back)
2 more vertically directly behind the driver seat, side-by-side (parallel to the seat back)
3 horizontally sitting on the passenger seat
Maybe someone out there can do better than that, but it ain't gonna be easy - the car is pretty full with 14 in these locations.
Score 1 for Willie.
