Default Koni (Yellow)

Has anyone done Koni (Yellow's) with Skunk 2 Coilovers? How's the ride? I need shocks for my 00 Accord asap. Please recommed any other shocks that are decent in price, give a nice ride, and that will last a while.

koni yellows plus the coilovers sleeves will cost you almost the same as a full coilver suspension. might as well save up another couple hundred and get one.

but yea like urbanlegend said koni yellows will be good. and you do know that there are two models of koni yellow out there rite?

Yes, Koni Yellows and Ground Control coilovers add up to almost the cost of Tein SS, but they'll stomp the Tein SS street coilovers into the ground in any serious use. Unless you're going to pay up for a real coilover, don't bother.

I didn't know that there were 2 kinds of KONI Yellows? What are they and which ones will work with my coilovers SK2's.

There are 2 kind of Yellows for the rear.

The external adjustable and the internal adjustable. The external one is well worth the 50 or so dollars!

Welcome to the club! I have Koni Yellows and I still have questions!

Like how are the perches supposed to sit? My fronts and rears sit like a "bowl" but I have heard it's the other way around. They need better instructions!

Do not under any circumstance get the Neuspeed/Konis. They will "SLAM" your car. I spent all the money I had saved up over the winter on them, and they are just too low, I don't know if it's the shock body or what, but it's BULLSHIT. Pisses me off so bad. I'm going to post pics soon, so you'll be able to notice how retarded Neuspeed/Konis are. I am running Neuspeed Sports BTW and I still get tuck on the front tire, its a very uneasing drop.

Peace, buyer beware.

Do I have to run H&R springs with KyB AGX or can I just stick with my Skunk 2's? How long have u had your KYB AGX, any problems so far. I have heard that KYB AGX warranty is void if your car is dropped 1.5" or lower.

yes, life time warranty will be void if your car is lower more than 1.5

h&r with agx or skunk2 with koni??

i would pick eibach with agx for street driving/ weekend autocrossing
of course a real coil over set up like tein is bad *** but do you really need it?
that the question for you.

i am rolling on koni yellows and ground controls.

my yellows have 3 different perch height settings. The rear is an absolute bitch to adjust from the shock tower inside the trunk. The ride is absolutley fabulous though, I still get goosebumps sometimes hitting VTEC out of the apex.

I would recommend this setup to anyone who is looking for adjustability for a reasonable cost.

there are two versions of the koni yellows.

the neuspeed koni yellows have 5 heigh perches on the shock itself.

the regular ones(the ones i have) have only 3 perches.

Yeah, they are hard, thats why I took those 2 a-frames off that are behind the backseat. Now its easy to adjust them.

Im on Ground control with my h22a 5th gen.

Im saving up for some Koni yellows and I was wondering how the ride is?
Im on 18inch 40series tires and im dropped around 2.5-.75inches.

How does the set up ride on freeways? The word "good" for shocks is kinda relative. Can anyone tell me how good these shocks really are?

thanks!
