The sickest kits I've seen are fiberglass, but everyone says fiberglass sucks. Why? The only kits I've had have all been poly. So what's so bad about fiberglass? Anyone have one?

 

if you bottom out over a bump, fiberglass will crack easily. My urethane kit went through so much **** and NEVER cracked. only the paint was damaged. but you can also repair fiberglass. I don't think you can fix urethane. or maybe it's just harder to fix.

 

You know those rocks that fly up from the road at highway speeds and bounce off your windshield like kamakaze pilots? Yeah, there goes your airdam. Also, fitment is usually off enough to warant extra fiberglass work from a bodyshop so that the kit fits correctly.

Aside from that: it's a gay bodykit.

mine is fiberglass, might i suggest no speeds above 35 mph and no winter driving, i had some damage and had it all repaired and it looks great now, but damn...ouch

Tend to shatter and crack a lot
There are a lot of badly made kits out there

yes. majority of those "buddy clubs" and imitations are crap.

poor design fiberglass and very poor molds.

 

very true...that fiberglass wannabe buddy club kit wont last a month with regular commuting...fiberglass kits break with the quickness

 

Actually you can fix urathane. Theres a compound out called "Flexane". It's like urathane filler. :D

Dope, works really well.

 

Thats why. Try to stay away from the FB, It cracks, scrapes, chips and makes you mad that you spent the money for something that will be destroyed with in a year.
