TODA VTEC KILLER cam sprockets?
Toda's VTEC killer sprockets necessitate the use of the corresponding VTEC killer cams. VTEC is eliminated completely. It will have only one cam lobe profile per valve. It is not yet available.

According to TODA, I don't think the sprockets require the killer cams also, but maybe it applies visa versa. I dont see the point in taking out the VTEC. by making a higher non-vtec cam profile, can't they just make the vtec lobe higher, so the power gain would be higher also?
the sprockets just take the intelligence out of the i-vtec.
and apparently, the killer cams take the innovation out of honda.

I think you should know what the purpose of a particular part is before wanting it for your car.
We all know TODA makes parts for our street parts, but they happen to make full race parts for pro race teams. i-VTEC is fine and dandy for a street car, but a race car doesn't need "i" or VTEC since it operates in a specific powerband, for example 6000~9000rpm. i-VTEC helps with low end torque, emissions, and driviablity, all things that are NOT applicable to a real race engine.
VTEC Killers and VTC killers are designed for a real race engine. Just because you have an AEM injen and APC muffler doesn't mean you have a race engine

so correct.
VTC function is worth is weight in gold for a street car...its hard to justify not having iVTEC for street however for a race car its different story.

well also it's hard to have the stock vtec and vtc system work right when you're hitting those RPMs and have messed with all the other settings...
VTEC largely allows for fuel economy since the engine switches from a more gas saving mode to the more powerful one...however!-the technology in the non-gas saving mode is still beneficial to horsepower versus a regular engine, and I'm pretty sure there's been race engines with VTEC(although i'm not sure...someone who actually knows should post)...
Bah
