I thought it was bullshit, but I was installing some rear tweeters and I noticed that there is like a "control box" hooked up to the rear speakers and there are some extra wires running to the speaker. Is that the Acoustic Feeback System?

What does the Acoustic Feedback System do?

it's a 2 ohm a speaker setup with mic's on each 6x9 that listen for distortion (or maybe just too much output period.. not sure) and adjusts accordingly.

Cool... that sounds sweet.

Here's a question then,

I am installing a sub in my car and I have a MTX 4250D amp which accepts high-level speaker inputs... so i was just going to splice into a wire from one of the 6x9's and hook it to the amp's high-level input.

That way I don't have to get a high-level to RCA converter and then run the wire all the way from the headunit (I would need one of those since the stock radio doesn't have low-level outputs).

Sound like a good plan?
