it might go at 92.xxx or it might go at 150.xxxx. you're just taking chances. hey it's ur car. that $400 maintenance might turn into thousands of repair bill.
i feel for you for being tight but be smart about it. just my 2cents

I replaced mine at 97k miles (about 60k of them were of my abuse and racing) and it looks like it was in pretty good shape, but who knows what condition yours is in. In the case of my '97 LS, the owner's manual says replace it at 105k miles, but yours may be different.
If I were you, I would at least take off the valve cover and get a real good look at the condition of the timing belt before taking it on a long trip.

i changed mine around 87,xxx
the belt looked pretty good.....but take his advice and take the valve cover off and take a good look at it......shouldn't be a problem if you keep the revs down...

Of course, change your water pump. And to dniedaces, just fly down there.

I didn't change mines on my 94gsr until 108k miles. Even then, the mechanic told me the belt still had at least 10k miles of life left on it.
The Integra timing belt will last up to 100k miles easily.....that is unless you don't abuse and drive like a mad man everyday.

only way to tell is by lookin to see what condition its in. i would think it would be ok to drive back to cali... but you never know. **** happens. just get it done.. if not... take the chance.

Gas is pretty damn expensive right now, and that is an extremely long drive.

i scrambled some money and made an appointment for saturday to get my t-belt changed....from what i heard here and what i did on "search" i shouldnt risk it. the guy is NOT using oem belt and pump tho. but it should last for at least another 60,xxx or so. thanx for all ur support and answers. and thanx big time for not flaming me this time...
Well gluck on ur drive back to cali... and hope that everything gets resolved for ya... but toanswer ur earlier question, which probably doesn't need answering anymore... i ran 102k before my timing belt replacement and by that time my belt was pretty damn worn.

factory interval on my 94 is 90k.

I would get OEM parts and give them to him to put on. If not, he should warranty his parts for at least 30k or so.
At LEAST give him the belt. You can go buy it at Acura.

its weird i read hondas are 60 k and acuras are 90 k and the belts are the same design material , always go oem for belts and water pumps , its not worth the risk to save a few dollars
