Picutre of Kakimoto Racing exhaust!!
I just installed my new Kakimoto R catback on my car last week, and here is some pictures I took after the install.
In case you never heard of Kakimoto Racing before, they are one of the biggest and best exhaust making company from Japan, but they never make it over to the North America until now!!

Here is another picture of the Kakimoto on a Civic!!
All the Kakimoto exhaust came in fully stainless steel. However, if you don't want to pay the price for the fully SS, they also have some in semi-stainless, but not for all application.

Does that tip have a silencer built in or is it just a bigger pipe around the real inside muffler tubing?
How does it sound? What rubber are you running? And what rims from OZ came in the boxes caught in the flash on your bumper?
Just curious

Kakimoto Racing also have the Kakimoto N1 cat back and the Kakimoto N1 and GT Box universal muffler available!! I will post some pics of them later!!
The piping is the same size of any other cat back exhaust from Japan, it is 60mm for the b-pipe on my DelSol, and for the TypeR, it is 70mm, and also 60mm for other Integra. As for the Civic with ZC engine, it is 50mm!! All the diameter are for the b-pipe.
Kakimoto R doesn't have silencer for it, and it is not necessary anyways. The exhaust is very quiet if you have stock engine. I have TODA spec B and test pipe, and it still must quieter than the Spoon N1 with the cat!!
The tire on the picture is the SP9000, but I am running the ADVAN A048 now!! And the OZ rim is 17', it is for a rich kid that used for his SNOW tire in the winter on his SLK!!! I think he is running AMG in the summer!!
Email me for pricing on any Kakimoto exhaust!!

The N1 have the typical N1 exhaust sound to it, also, the sound is depend you get the cat back or just the universal muffler!!
But you can get a silencer with the N1 exhaust, with the silencer on, it is very quiet!!

i heard of kakimoto a long time ago, i think back a few years back they made inferior products, maybe they have changed now, but full stainless steel is
TypeRmsm: I understand that anyone with connection to Japan would able to get Kakimoto Racing product from the gray market. I heard that shop in Japan is not suppose to sell Kakimoto Racing products outside of Japan. But I know a lot of Skyline, EVO, and WRX are using their downpipe. Therefore, I am not surprise that you can get Kakimoto for awhile. Actually, I have a friend that have Kakimoto wheel and exhaust on his car for over 4 years now.
However, Kakimoto don't have any oversea distributor until now.
I guess in order to see how rare Kakimoto products are in the US, just ask how many people here actually have Kakimoto on their car (exclude the sticker
). And half of the ppl I talk to think I am talking about "Akimoto" when I said Kakimoto. LOL
I got my Kakimoto exhaust from Boom Plus Toys in Vancouver, BC.
I think the N1 cat back is around $900-1000 CDN and the universal muffler is around $399CDN, but don't quote me on that, as I am not completely sure!!
