For those of you with the Honda Navagation System I have a quick question.

When using the Trip Computer off of the Info menu it seems that the mileage on the trip computer there varies from trip counter on the Odometer. Yes I did reset them both at the same time.

Has any else noticed this problem?

How much of a difference is there?

 

It seems that for every 35 miles or so there is a one mile discrepancy. It is the Trip computer on the touch screen that is coming up short.

I would tend to believe that the trip counter by the odometer is the one that is correct.

Any thoughts.

i would say take it back....still under warranty. let the dealership check it out for you.

 

does it use the GPS system? I think it does and the error would be due to the GPS being accurate within X meters. The odometer runs off of thge VSS and it is much more accurate

 

I would find it hard to belive that it uses GPS to calculate this information. It is possible but would be a very poor design decision in my oppinion.

I guess I will take back to the dealer and see what they have to say.
