Don't forget Falken Azenis, unless they aren't available in your size. They're cheap, last a decent amount of miles, and are sticky as sweaty cleavage!

The falken azenis are considered drag radials are they not? I am talking besides the falken and nitto drag radials. I just got a pair of the yokohama es 100's and there supposed to last 30.000 miles. I heard the azenis only last 5-6,000 miles on the street daily driven although I would consider them for my track tires

besides them damn azenis are always on back order here

azenis are street legal tires with hella good grip. treadwear is about 200 if I'm right. the reason some people tires only last 5-6k miles all depends on how the driving. you driving like a Juan Montoya then the tires will last 5-6k miles, BUT if you drive like "Driving Miss Diasy" then it'll last 10-15k if you're lucky. Basically whenever you buy performance parts you will always sacrific something, get use to it.

No, they are not drag radials. They are not even racing tires. They are street radials that happen to be damn good at the track--especially for the money. As far as wear is concerned, I raced them on a high-speed (100+ mph) road course all last summer AND rode them on the street, and I still have a grip of tread left. They have a UTQG-200 rating (the higher the number, the longer they're supposed to last). DOT race tires usually have a rating of 60-80 or less. Hope that helps, if not check out discounttiredirect.com or tirerack.com. They both have all the specs for all the tires they sell and customer comments. But I heard the Parada SPECII's don't hold a candle to the Azenis on traction. They are a lot better than the 1st gen's, though.

P.S. don't burn out it them--even at the strip. Warming them up hurts their performance and it wears them out too fast. Just do a little one to get the rocks off, if that. And, if you don't do burnouts to impress people, they will last hella longer.

thanks for the reply, I will probably get those or the g-force drag radials for the track. I want something that grips good and lasts for a reasonable amount of time. I belive the yokohama parada es100 have the best of both worlds and damn they work good in the wet.

Well, the BFG G-force drag radials won't last long on the street. They have a UTQG rating of 00 (zero-zero). They're street legal, but I don't recommend driving on them for long distance. If you can get the Azenis (or comparable), AND a full drag radial, that would be your best bet. There are too many compromises to get the best of both worlds off one tire.
