Default b16a clutch cable, can you use stock DX?

I just hooked up my clutch cable and I found that it is a little too short. the shift arm on the trans does not go all the way down now. Can I modify the old one . What did you guys do?

You dont "have" to use a teg cable. I am running a crx one. I just trimmed the rubber down a little, and it was cool. Ryan

I just trimmed off some of the metal tubing with an angle grinder. then I was able to slip the bottom of the cable up so that it would be long enough. Works fine! Dont waste your money!!!!!!!!!!!
