i have heard that if u have a slushbox and go turbo that its better than a manual tranny when boosted? anyone have any comments on this?? my friend who is quite crazy with cars told me this and he made an 87 grand national pull 500+ on the wheels -took out vipers supras u name it-so i take his opinion hihgly-someone comment tho. lata

 

First of all thats a GN not an import.If i remember correctly it had the 700r4 tranny in it which had mondo aftermarket support like torque converters and shift kits to beef it up.Our auto trannys dont have much aftermarket support.I am just now seeing torque converters pop up.Also there is not as much drivetrain loss in a manual as an auto but as always if you have enough money you can make anything fast.

well yes and no...the plus side is that you foot is always on the gas...therefore you never lose boost .....and mabye running quciker..mabye
honda autos arent to strong from what i hear...

and i think your friend might be mad cause he cant get 5 speed

 

hmm he could have a 5 speed if he wanted hes loaded-I am PISSED i dont have a 5 speed lol-but my lude decently quick for the mods i have i guess im gonna have my engine built of course before turbo-wanted to do a tranny swap-heard it wasnt worht it tho so i dunno what to do now-some people say build engine and turbo it some peeps say drop in h22 some people say buy a new car-dammit all to hell....someone out there gimmie some advice
