Here is my new 99 GSR that i got recently. I finally got ahold of a friends digi cam so i thought id share some pics. I bought this at an auction i go to for 3600$ It had busted ignition switch, no guage cluster, no shift **** no rims and seats are slashed. I did a carfax check and talked to the previous owner its got 49k on it. The previous owner told me that it was stolen and wasnt found for 2 months. So the ins co. gave him a check for it. They eventually found it with just the stuff i mentioned above missing/broken so they issued it salvaged. Going from an LS to GSR is nice, i really thought the GSR was alotta hype but i was wrong i love it. I cant wait to finish it and start modding it. Its gonna get itr lip n wing in a week. Rims i cannot decide yet, i was thinking some 16 grids or some white 16 C8's. Its got some eibach springs on it already i dunno what model they are but its a real mild drop. Bottom pic is of my old LS with the huge cinderblock rims lol. Let me know what ya guys think

Not too bad. I would be kinda scared buying the car since it was stolen, but 3600 is damn cheap. I hope your planning on replacing the seats soon

What the hell did the crooks take when they stole the car?? YOu thing they would have taken more than the wheels and shift **** and ****. How ******* lame is that. Someone steals someone elses car just to take a few items off it they want.

my thoughts exactly. Every GSR ive seen at the auction is raped bigtime. Something must have happened where they couldnt finish it. Mechanicaly its great ive had several ppl look at it to. Nothings missing or damaged. The seats are fuxored but i thought i could deal with it for the price i paid till i get new ones.

ace hardware mesh, i cut 2 long strips, painted it and slid it inside then drilled it in. When it was freshly painted it looks great. Its pretty dinged up in that pic. That ls i picked up for 1600 at the same place i got my GSR but there was a lil more stuff wrong with that.

 

thats a very nice buy if your intentions are to keep the car long term. As for parts contact Len at Baranca Acura, he gives very generous prices (just do a search and youll find his name, he has the # listed in his sig)

Check the color of the springs to see if they're red. By the looks of your drop, looks like you MIGHT have Sportlines (back is lower than the front slightly). Other than that, nice "steal".

exhaust is stock. about the springs theyre black i think theyre the sportlines. The back is a lil lower cuz its got smaller tires on it. The ones up front are thicker i had to take what i could find to drive it. The front tires that wer on it had the wires sticking out. 1-2 weeks i should have my new rims n tires so im not to worried about it.

 

i bought my 97 gsr from an auction too...mine was stolen and had no seats, rims, spoiler and ecu

 

Im hopin to eventually get an MKIV there. The very first time i walked in there they wer haulin a red 97 TT 6 spd on a forklift. I was about ready to **** my pants when the guy just dropped it and slammed it on the ground. It was way to dmged though the front bumper was shoved clear back in the interior like somone hit a telephone pole. Till then ill just stick with the integras theyre fun to fix and drive.
