Default headers and emmissions

Hey I'm currently in the process of building a b16a engine and plan on putting it into a 88 hf crx. I've got the head torn apart and am gonna bring it into a machine shop soon for some porting and polishing. I was wondering what kind of headers I should put onto it to gain the most hp and yet still pass emmissions. I was looking at smsp headers and was wondering where you can find info//buy them? Any help would be appreciated. Thx.

i'm runnin the comptech race headers(like hytech) and they make great power and all i had to do was slap on a cat and retard the timing a little bit to pass emissions, oh ya and taking a little fuel out wouldn't hurt

In cali the header must have a c.a.r.b. eo number. Top notch headers don't have these. The best header will probally be a dc if you need to pass smog legit. Since you have a swap you should call the state smog ref and talk to him he can help you with emmissions issues.

JG headers have the EO carb number stamped on them...

I forgot about those. They are probably the best with a eo number imo.
