My '90 Honda Accord DX is difficult to start after sitting in the hot FL sun from 7:00am (arrival at work) to 4:30 (depart from work). It starts fine in the morning after being in the garage, or at other times of year when the temp is not as hot. I had the same problem last year when the weather was hot , took it into a garage and described the problem - they checked it out and said they had no trouble starting it (i.e. nothing was fixed). The problem did not occur at all over the winter and spring months - just this week now that the outside temp is over 85 degrees I am having trouble starting the car when trying to leave work after it has sat all day. When I do have trouble, I let it sit for >5 min and then try again to start it. Sometimes it takes me almost 30 min to get it started.

Anyone else experience a similar problem?
Any suggestions or thoughts would be welcome.

 

sounds like the main relay. Common problem.

I have the same problem with my 94 LX. Wouldn't worry about it too much.

 

we need some of that sun out in cali...but my car is having similar problems after sitting out for a day...i'll try the main relay..
