Default Tial wastegate touching hood.. need help

Hi, my wastegate is touching the hood if I put the nipple on the top to get my boost control running... is there anyway to turn no wastegate sideways or modification to get my hood to close... (butting hood is not an option).

You could buy a bend/elbow for it.

You need two 35mm WG flanges, a 1 1/2" bend, and some love with the welder.

yeah, hit up John at sales@afterhourzracing.com I don't know how many he has though. He sold me mine for $15 shipped, he may have had to rape a revhard kit to get it though, not sure.

I have another question, it only touches the hood if I have that nipple on the top hole, is there anyway to go around the top hole and still be able to use my boost controller?

Fix it before torquing the engine. After i put in my new clutch, ripped down the street, and bam, there is a HUGE nipple with paint cracking on my hood. soo ugly.
You will have to redo your dumptube also when you get the elbow. Either that, or shave down the top fitting of the wastegate to give a little more clearance. Thats what i did

Sure, it "can"... I just don't know why anyone in their right mind would try. My elbow hurts just thinking about it.

I've seen this problem on 2 Civics, and I'd be awfully surprised if it were possible to grind down that fitting enough to clear the hood without ruining it. I'm thinking the "modification" done to intekragsr's hood has more to do with the solution in this case.
