i don't think there is a functionaly purpose. i am sure on the box it'll have this on it in small print: "product not meant for race equipment"

but if you want to front like you race go ahead & buy it

</TD></TR></TABLE>if you don't have a full roll cage, then giving it the appearance of having a full roll cage system is rice in my book. Arospeed seems to be making a lot of products that give the appearance of something that the car doesn't have. I'm happy I only have a tower bar from them.
