I got my bar today, but of course the instructions are Japanese. Can someone help with install. Where are am I supposed to cut the rear covers at. The left side looks like I have to remove the whole entire cover to put the strut on.

Does anyone have a pic of it installed, then I can probably take it from there.

 

the instructions should of come with a right and left side stencil for the cut out...i didnt need to take the panels off..ill look for a picture..

 

EP, what did you pay for the front and rear bars? probably get them in a month or so.

Also, in a few month gonna do the sus.....mugen lowdown..what do you think? ...good/bad. anthing better out there for about the same price that comes fullly assembled like the mugen.

ahhh...perfect. Thanks man...didn't want to cut my car up the wrong way.

 

Pop the covers out and take a good look.
You can line up the bar and mark where it needs to be cut.
You should be able to judge how deep to go by the pic.
See the getto door edge trim? I redid it and cut the edges at 45 degree angles, much like a picture frame. Improved the look 10 fold.

What is the best thing to use to make a nice and neat cut using the template. Plastic is to strong for this cheesy cutter I have.

 

A good hobby knife or a dremel.

Dremel is good for trimming and cutting some thin metal. It doesn't really work very well with cutting plastic since the high rpm tends to melt the plastic and cause the plastic to stick to the cutting tip. I find it very easy to use a sheetmetal cutter which you can buy at any hardware store and it's just a size of a regular scissor. I cut a small part of the front under body plastic cover to make room for something and those plasctic is a good 1/8 inch thick but with that cutter, I felt like I was cutting a sheet of paper..
