my friend has a 91 crx dx with a dual cam zc in it......my question is what kind of tranny is good for that motor. right now he has a dx tranny on it, but no more turbo so NA is next. what are some good motor upgrades to gain decent horsepower???? also does anyone in so cal have a tranny for him to buy????

 

can go with si/zc hybrid... for best gearing .. could just easily go with an SI tranny..

 

I'm running an Si with a quaife, works well. the ZC needs the intermediate shaft, and teg axles.
Don't make too much power with the DX, as that case has smaller bearings on the input, counter and differential.

 

i just took out my dx tranny and threw in a si tranny, and its a noticible difference....its a lot more fun to drive now. the si tranny as is is better than the zc tranny, but an si final drive in the zc makes one wicked little L3
