I just bought my 98 prelude with 55k miles on it. Everything's great except the rear tires were cupping so they make a little wah-wah noise so i want to replace them. I went to tirerack.com and looked @ all the tires. I want my prelude to be a little quieter (as fasr as the normal ride noise goes) and the Kuhmo's are cheap and they have a good rating for this.

Long story short, are these good tires?

 

if you get kumho's i suggest getting the kumho 712 ecsta

 

fine for daily driving. A bit more noisy than the Potenza RE730's I had before, but much cheaper.

thats what i have and they are really good for the price.

 

They are $77/ea at tirerack.com (W rated), I managed to pricematch at discount tire center, which has the Z rated version.

 

Got the YOKAHOMA's today... i saw they had a better rating on TireRack.com and were the same price. I even got a local store to do a price match!

Seems like a great tire so far, nice and quiet and seems to grab the road.
