Installed my Philips based 4100k HID kit tonight. Got them for $375 shipped from http://www.hidconversionkits.com
Problem is 1 bulb is slightly yellow while the other is white like it should be. This is after they are fully warmed up. There is a yellow spot on the lens seen from any angle. I have made sure all the connections are secure and reseated the bulb.
Any ideas?
Also the wiring harness is 1 peice that connects both Philip ballasts. Anyone ever seen something like that before?

They may have sent you shitty bulbs.. What kind of package was it in? Look like it is the first time it's been opened and it goes along with the correct kit?

Everything was in Philips packaging. It looked pretty genuine.
I swapped the bulbs and the yellow stayed with the passenger side headlight. So its not the bulb. I washed both headlights with windex. There is still a noticeable yellow on the passenger side.
Any suggestions?

it shouldn't be like that, like one brighter than the other.
but for your bulb temperature 4100k, it will look yellowish. going to 5000k will eliminate anything yellow and be more white/blue. instead of your yellow/white
i had 6000k, it was blue/white/purple. and one light was brighter then the other. but i lived through it. it was still bright as ****.

swapped ballasts, and bulbs, seems the passenger side always has the yellow tone to it on certain parts of the beam pattern, it also shoots a yellow circle slightly above the beam pattern on a flat wall. Im thinking its the projector housings. Can I clean the inside of my projectors?

could be a projector cleanliness issue or a headlight glass issue.
plastic/glass polish/cleaner will clean up your headlamp glass cover piece, like people do with old Integras where the glass fades and oxidizes.
or disassemble the light and clean the projector?
good luck bro.

Before I go ahead and tear apart my headlight housings, has anybody ever heard of this before? Sounds pretty uncommon to me. Pisses me off to spend $400 bucks and have a yellow streak in the middle of your passenger side beam pattern. One guy on HIDforum.com said it was caused by halogen housings are never high quality like OEM HID housings. But it seems this would be more common if that was the case.
Im going to try and play around with the ground wires and some other things to troubleshoot this.
