Calling All Painters!! problem here
ok first i dont know which forum to put this in so i put it in the integra one since thats what i own a 95 integra 4door. my dad has been painting cars for god knows how long anyway we started to paint my car finally. and on our first coat of clear we recieved this little fish eyed bubbles all over the car. i mean the whole damn car is covered with this little pimples. the paint we are using is called standox. we cleaned the gun and all that. can anyone chime in on what the problem is?

sweet. did he lay a new base coat down or are you spraying more clear coat on? sometimes depending on the base coat you have to prep the paint for clear or it fisheyes bad.

after the base coat your supposed to wipe the whole car down with a solvant(forget the name) before the clearcoat goes on.
are the fisheyes in the clear or in the base too?
if they are just in the clear, then it was something in the air or in the booth... if there was anything around that is silicone based than thats your problem or if there is oils present or chemicals....... if they are in the base than its your prep job.. the solvent you need is wax and grease remover, its too late now and your supposed to tack it off to keep trash out of the paint
you can dust on the clear lightly until it covers them, and then just cut/buff it out.

Sometimes Diesel fumes can cause fisheyes in paint, was a diesel engine cranked up near your car before the clear was sprayed on?
