15" tires... revisited: "BEST" for autox/track/street duty.....
I can get a pretty good deal on just about anything available in the US.
What should I be looking at?
ao32r's?
azenis?
s03?
others?
Basically, I need the stickiest dry weather tire possible. Mileage doesn't matter to me... I must be able to drive on highways to and from the autox and track though.....

Most of the guys in the Roadrace forum are switching to Toyo RA-1s from Hoosiers.
They are an awesome dry AND wet tire. Treadwear rating is 40 though - so they will wear quickly if you daily drive them. But they are fine to drive to and from track events/autocross/HPDE etc.
If you are going to strictly use them for dry - then you should shave them to 5/32nds" for maximum performance. Out of the box they are pretty greasy until they get scrubbed in.
They are also pretty quiet compared to the droning hum of A032Rs.
My next choice would be A032Rs and then street tires like Azenis.

A032R tires are by far the grippiest tires out of that bunch but for Autocross duty they won't get hot enough for that potential as they take longer than other R compounds to heat up. But once heated up they flat out stick to the road.
Azenis are cost effective as i run them as my street tires. I don't know much about the S-03's but hopefully others will chime in to help you out.

I don't believe the S compound is out yet. Correct me if i am wrong but i heard July is the date for the public.

The Tire Rack shows both A032R compounds on their website.

S03 definetly not good for Autox as the sidewall is still soft at 45psi compare to Falkens. Same as on road course, S03 gets greasy after 5-6 laps.

I'm a little bit confused here.
I assume from your last statement that you are not considering these for daily driving, only for the track and for driving to and from the track.
Your last statement is also somewhat self-contradictory, because tires that are the stickiest on dry pavement (like the Hoosiers) will wear down considerably when driven to and from the track, making them somewhat unsuitable for your needs.
If you want the absolute stickiest tires on dry pavement, get Hoosiers but don't drive them to and from the track. (Keep in mind that Hoosier makes the A3S03 specifically for autocross, the R3S03 for road racing.)
If you want a very sticky tire for autox and track, but one with enough treadlife that you can also drive them to and from the track, then there are a lot of good R compound tires - the Yokohama A032R, the Kumho Ecsta V700, the Michelin Pilot Cup, etc.
I don't think street tires like the S03 or Azenis are what you're looking for. They won't stick nearly as well on the track as an R compound tire.

NSXTASY~
do you know anyone who has actually bought the S compound and tried it out yet? I saw on tirerack's website that they show them "in stock" but i had heard they weren't coming out until July. I am anxious to pick me up a set once the H compound is done. I still have a few events on those left which i will use up for sure.

I have the S03's and enjoyed them on the track. If you are going to daily drive your car a lot, I would highly reccomend S03's. However, you said mileage doesn't matter.

It's not the "S" compound, it's being called the A032R-A compound, it takes less heat to get it up to temperature and it is stickier, treadwear is the same between the two of them. This is what I was told by the Yokohama reps at IAS, maybe I'll need to bust out the brochure that I ahve at home.

No, not yet. I'll ask around at the track in upcoming weeks.

I don't think so. The Tire Rack website refers to the two compounds as "S (soft) and H (hard) high-grip tread compounds". So do the pdf specs on Yokohama's website, which refer to the H-compound and the S-compound.
